Earlier last year, I was invited to present at an Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) event – Lightweighting for Low-Carbon Vehicles. It provided an opportunity to reflect on a number of industry developments and articulate how increasingly intelligent simulation technology (e.g. structural optimization) is facilitating the development of a new generation of lightweight vehicles.
